Welcome to
Ministry Intern Noah Durbin
Noah Durban is joining us for the 2021-2022 school year as a ministry intern, thanks to the apportionment funded IGRC internship program.
Noah is a senior at St. Louis Christian College, studying Christian Ministry. He is a member at Troy UMC and has been involved there in leadership in their New Life Student Ministry, including starting a Bible study for the middle school students. He has served three amazing summers as Summer Staff with TEAMeffort Youth Missions, and during the school year,  he has preached once or twice a month at Troy UMC’s satellite campus in St. Jacob. Noah plans to attend Asbury Theological Seminary for a Master of Divinity focusing on Church Planting. Noah say, “I am super excited to serve Nameoki UMC as the Ministry Intern!”
Noah will be working with Pastor Susan to gain a wide variety of experiences in pastoral ministry, including some preaching, worship leadership, prayer, teaching, visitation, administration, and particularly working to develop our ministry with youth and young adults. We look forward to the gifts Noah brings and being part of helping him discern and develop further his call and gifts in ministry.

Welcome to Our Media/Audio-Visual Team!
Last August, with covid in full swing, we were blessed to receive Bryce Griggs to take over our audio-visual ministry. Bryce graduated from GCHS last year, was a leader on their media team, and came by recommendation from Linda Ames. He has been a tremendous blessing and has done much to run and help us improve our livestream, media, and audio-visual ministry.
Earlier this year we decided to expand the team to add another person to ensure coverage for Sundays and to manage the complexity of the system. Cole Simpson, a current high school student, joined the team, while the total hours and overall cost remained the same.
As summer drew near, it became clear that we needed more members on the team to help ensure there was audio-visual coverage for Sundays during summer family vacations and to manage our other media ministries (website, social media) more effectively. While again maintaining the same budget, two members of the GCHS media class, Ryan DeGonia and Max Forbes, have recently joined the team. Ryan is a musician, so you may see him playing his guitar, and he is doing a great job already working on sound quality. Max is joining this week and will be specializing in website and social media.  Alexis Tracy also serves on the team as a volunteer, preparing and running our lyrics and worship slide presentation, so the guys can focus on sound and camera and overall production. Bryce is leading the team and Monty continues in an advisory capacity. Thank you to our AV and media specialists!
